Forza Horizon 6 Announced: Here Are the First Images from the New Game Set in Japan! [Video]

The first official announcement of the new game in the number one racing series, Forza Horizon, Forza Horizon 6, came today from the Tokyo Game Show.

With a major announcement at Tokyo Game Show 2025, Xbox officially unveiled Forza Horizon 6, the highly anticipated title for racing enthusiasts. The newest entry in the series will take place in Japan, a location long requested by fans. While the first reveal trailer is entirely cinematic, it was emphasized that Playground Games and Turn 10 have brought Japan into the game “more realistically than ever before.”

Although the trailer does not feature gameplay footage, the game’s atmosphere and details can be seen. Xbox also shared the release window and platform information. Forza Horizon 6 will launch on Xbox Series X/S and PC, and it will be added to the Game Pass library from day one.

Although the exact release date has not yet been announced, it has been confirmed that the game will launch sometime in 2026. Considering that previous entries in the series typically released in the fall, Forza Horizon 6 is expected to arrive around November 2026.

For now, it remains uncertain whether the game will come to PS5, but given that Forza Horizon 5 was later released on PS5 and Xbox has brought several other titles to the platform in quick succession, it is reasonable to expect that Forza Horizon 6 may eventually make its way to PS5 as well.
